Dean Foor established ECOregon in 2005, an energy consulting group providing resource and energy analysis services to the agricultural and business community with an emphais on biomass energy projects. He holds a BS in Civil Engineering, BS in Geomatic Engineering, and Certificate in Fermentation Science. Dean has more than 17 years of project management and engineering experience, is a prefessional registered engineer and surveyor, volunteers weekly with the SMART reading program, is a member of the Union of Concerned Scientists, and was an animal care volunteer at CRC.
Pony Gilbert owns a custom lumber mill and construction business in Veneta, and is also an extremely talented Native American story teller and singer. He has worked extensively with the 4J NATIVES program and generously shared his stories and songs with our audiences at the Good Earth Home Show in January and our Earth Day Celebrations. It is great to have the point of view of another small business owner and active community member, especially when his opinions are delivered with such a great sense of humor and understanding.
Karen Green JD, is a land use attorney and land use hearings officer in Bend, and has an impressive resume of work experience, including as Assistant Attorney General. She also worked for many years at the High Desert Museum in Interpretation and Display. She has been on several non-profit boards and we are delighted to have her experience as we enter a strategic planning process, as well as her grant writing skills!
Stephanie Hand, a native Eugenean, graduated from the University of Oregon in 1991 and has worked in the pharmaceutical sales industry for more than 12 years. She has volunteered at a cougar preserve, worked for a vet clinic, and was one of our longest-tenured animal care volunteer (seven years) before her young family stole her away about seven years ago. She is delighted to be "a part of such a great organization again."
Clara Rigmaiden JD, graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1998, and works in the Lane County Public Defenders Office as a staff attorney. Her help at CRC's Earth Day Celebration has become an annual event and her organizational skills are now much in demand as our Secretary.
Pam Whyte CPA has been our accountant for the last 14 years. A partner in Emge & Whyte, she has watched us grow, and generously contributed to that growth, for many years. Her knowledge of our history and commitment to our mission will help steer us through all the development in the months and years ahead.
