The following are items typically always needed by the Cascades Raptor Center…

First and foremost: your financial assistance! Your generous contributions allow us to buy the specialized food, medication and medical supplies that we need. You may donate on our secure online Donation page.


  • Chain saw
  • Work gloves
  • Light leather gloves
  • Welding gloves
  • Hoes and other garden tools
  • Leaf and garden rakes
  • Garden storage shed
  • Wheel barrows (preferably w/ solid rubber tires; pneumatic tires get ripped up on our gravel)

Aviary Materials

  • Hardware cloth and welded wire (please call for more info)
  • New treated lumber (please call for sizes/ lengths)
  • New treated plywood
  • Pea gravel
  • Crushed rock
  • Corrugated clear PVC roofing panels (Sun-Tuff 'Greenhouse Clear')
  • Vinyl-covered welded wire (please call us for sourcing this specialty product)

Hospital Needs

  • Plastic airline carriers
  • Sterile insulin & tuberculin syringes
  • Telfa pads
  • Digital X-ray machine or film x-ray machine and automatic developer
  • Veterinary light therapy unit
  • Telescoping capture nets
  • Coroplast pet carriers

Gift Certificates

Food & Feeder Supplies

  • Science Diet feline maintenance dry cat food
  • Rodent chow
  • Unmedicated chick starter/grower crumbles
  • Dry Den bedding pellets
  • Aspen or pine shavings (we cannot use cedar shavings)
  • Wild bird seed and black oil sunflower seeds
  • Mealworms
  • Crickets
  • Suet cakes
  • Zip-lock freezer bags (1 gallon, 1 quart)

Cleaning supplies

  • Paper towels
  • Liquid bleach
  • Laundry detergent (for front-loading, water saving machine; septic safe)
  • Liquid hand soap
  • Simple Green concentrate
  • Garbage bags (33 gallon & tall kitchen)
